Recipe of the Week :: Bath Bribes
Good enough to get your pup Splishin' and a Splashin'! Scrub-a-dub-dub, feed your dog in the tub. Keep in mind, these weekly recipes are not only all natural, but they are perfect bites for you and the dog in your life to share (just use separate bowls!).
Ingredients checklist:
1 egg
1 1/4 skim milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup bran flakes
1/4 cup pecans
This recipe makes 10 water-free, after-bath rewards.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine egg, milk, and oil.
Stir in baking powder, baking soda, flour, and bran flakes. Mix well, then fold in pecans.
Spoon into a greased muffin tin so that cups are three-quarters full and bake for 25 minutes. Cool before serving and store in a sealed container.
Your after-bath treats will come out of the oven smelling like one of those deliciously scented candles, but they're even better because not only does your house smell awesome... your pup is clean and now both of you get a healthy, yummy snack!
