Volunteering

Attention animal lovers! Volunteers are critical to the mission of Friends of the Animal Village. Each FAV initiative relies on teams of dedicated volunteers to assist us with events and programs that will raise funds and help increase adoptions at the Little Rock Animal Village. We are in need of your time, resources and love to help us reach our goals - please get involved!

FAV Volunteer Committees
Serving on a committee allows you to meet fellow pet lovers and make a difference for the animals at the Animal Village. With six different committees to choose from, there is something for everyone:

Adoption Drive Commitee

Event planning and funds coordination for FAV’s "Happy Tails" Adoption Drive, during which 50% of adoption fees are subsidized at the Little Rock Animal Village. This year's adoption drive is tentatively slated for April-May. We need donations! If you'd like to donate specifically toward the adoption drive, please complete this form and check the box that says "Put my donation towards the Happy Tails Adoption Drive."

Membership Commitee

Focuses on communication strategies for increasing FAV memberships and volunteers.

PR Committee (and Corporate Sponsorships)

Responsible for local media communications, press releases, development of print and ad materials, and the FAV website.

Administration Committee

The Administration Committee is to conduct activities associated with the effective operation of the FAV organization.

Nomination Committee

Responsible for nominating candidates for office within the organization. 

Financial Committee

Supervises membership and donation funds and ensures transparent financial practices with clear oversight by the FAV board, including financial reports, membership enrollment, contributions, taxes and our registration with the attorney general.


Volunteer at the Animal Village
Are you interested in working with the animals? Volunteers are needed everyday at the Animal Village to work with the dogs and cats. LRAV is located at 4500 S. Kramer Street in Little Rock. Hours of operation are Tue-Sat, 8am-5pm. Visit the website at www.littlerockanimalvillage.org.

Foster Program
When you foster cats, kittens, dogs, or puppies for the Little Rock Animal Village in your home, you create space for more pets at the shelter. Fostering is the most direct way to help an animal; you are giving it a second chance at life.
